THE FIRE-SIGN CHILD While deep or serious misunderstanding is unlikely between these two, the air-sign parent's natural awareness of other people and concern for fair and harmonious interpersonal relationships can be at odds with the fire-sign child's drive to express him or herself without regard to any restrictions or social consequences. There is a natural egocentricity in the fire-sign youngster which may disturb the air-sign parent. However, it is good to remember that the child's self-expression is raw and unrefined, and in time, with the air-sign parent's influence, he or she can learn to be more gracious and aware of the effects his or her actions have on others.
